New daily driver
Discussion
To celebrate finally getting a job offer (I'm off to Ricardo on the south coast), I re-insured my RX-8 and purchased my little brothers car for daily driving duties.
Spec:
2001 Ford Fiesta Freestyle 1.25 16v 5-drs
42,000 miles
Air-con
Leccy windows
Radio Cassette Player
Before it was my brothers car, it belonged to my grandfather, so it's been in the family basically since new. Mechanically sound (only 42k miles afterall) but a bit tatty around the edges and filthy inside (my brother is a landscape gardener and generally a filthy little scrote).
Purchased at family rates and insured with mirror NCB through Admiral. Should be a bit cheaper to run than the Rex!
First off, some 'as received' photos (the polo lurking about is my brothers new 'whip' and the transit is one of his fine work vehicles)
The better side
The worse side
The Rear (including parking sensors fitted by my grandad)
The interior - aftermarket gearknob, 'alloy plated' floor mat & 'his and hers' cupholders - nice
Bit of damage repair - could do with a bit more attention
Some pictures after a full clean, clay, polish & wax (lighting doesn't do the work justice IMO)
Headunit and CD changer older than the car (circa 1994 previously fitted to an older brothers 205 GTI)
What's wrong with this image?
It's hilarious to drive after the Rex - it's so so slow! But you can chuck it about and the cheapo Nexen tyres have laughable grip!
Edited for prettyfication
