Hi all,

Just thought I'd post up a few snaps of my new car. At 22 I've secured a car I will keep forever, because as far as I am concerned it is perfect. Anyone thinking about stretching themselves a bit to get a car they really love, do it, I drive it as much as I can and smile all the time I'm doing it.

I am nearly at 2 years with my 400 and it still does it for me but will be getting NOS this winter

I am incredibly jealous, at 25 I could only dream of owning a TVR.

I was going to ask how you managed that, then noticed the area the car is parked in, assuming you live there we live in two completely different worlds.

A year older than me and you've got a TVR as well nicely done. It does feel good driving around in TVRs as they are very unique.

Looks to be in very good nick too and I like the Tuscan style lights too.

It is a 1996 underneath that meaningless private plate.

The drive might look posh, but it isn't mine, and the car wasn't "bought for me", just lucked into a good job. =)

I certainly hope not to stack it, I've been doing all my cocking about on auto-solos to keep the sillyness in a safe place. =)

I am quite young to have a TVR, and also quite young to have a "she who must be obeyed", who will of course beat any advancers off with a stty stick before I know it is even on the cards.

I try and ad stick to the "the car is the star" school of flash motoring though. I'm pleased people turn and look, but it is embarrassing if they talk about anything but the car when they come up to you.

@number2301 - love the 205, looks mint, looked at getting one but couldn't get insured, ridiculously.
@all the tuscan owners - thanks for liking the lights, I prefer them on all the newer TVRs
@wedge owner - got to love those things

I see the "need a better than 400 one" thread permeates even here... if you drive at less than full throttle any time you're not approaching or before the apex of a corner, you don't need a bigger engine. =)

Do you sometimes find that the attention becomes too much? it's nice and normally I enjoy it, but sometimes I just want to drive about without almost everyone staring at me or yelling out nice car or wow look it's a Tuscan/TVR or whatever else they have said.

car looks perfect mate.

if i was to have chim, it would have to have the tuscan lights and the afterburner rears. makes it look so much better.

(what i would like to do if i had a chim is get a set of 18" spiders on the there to see what they looked like, perhaps some adapters and see how you go!!)

I bought a cerbera a year ago, i was a bit dubious when i first had it but now i wouldnt want to drive anything else other than tvr(for fun), the adrenaline rush and the beauty of the cars out beats all in that price range.

Enjoy and Treat it well, they do catch you out!!

I don't get too bored of the attention, mostly because I do my driving on speedy B roads as much as possible, I've never found a good road going through a town, although I did have to go through on Friday night and the thunder on the over-run (it burbles and pops prominently) was mingled by a few woops from the drunk revellers of the great unwashed.

I do definitely want a Cerbera.


I did look at going straight to one of those (really want an AJP8 car), but I couldn't afford the running costs if I had to do any serious work on it, where as this I'm more confident about working on myself.

I would like to put a set of 18" Spiders on the car, as the colour and Speed 6 lights would all go very well I think, but I'm just going to drive it as is for a year, it is already brilliant, and I need to rebuild my financial position having bought it!

I do definitely want a Cerbera, and I expect if the girlfriend becomes wifefriend we'll need the little seats for little pistonheads! It'll take some doing though, she hates this one already "it's too low, it's too loud, it's too bumpy" etc.

Haha I have already tried talking my fience round that a cerbera would make a great family car...she didnt like the idea.

Sounds like you have got it pretty much figured out. Plus if you get the car looking the way you want and the chassis all sorted out (depending if the out riggers need work), you can always super charge her

I don't really have much choice as I've got to go through the town center to get to any decent driving roads being as I'm one of them there city boys, but it is sometimes good fun driving along in a few gears too low just to hear it against the walls of the buildings, it's surprising how many people cheer and no one ever complains of the nosie.

I personally love the sound of the Rover V8 so I would also recommend a supercharger if you want more power.
