Hi and here's my car!
Discussion
Hello everyone, dont know if this is the right section to post in, but i thought i'd say hello and post pics of my car at the same time. Been a long time user of the classifieds, but only just joined the forum as i want to get out and some of the meets/drives.
Car is a 1995 Nissan Skyline GTS-T. Swapped a DC2 Integra Type-R for it at the beginning of the year, only for it to crack a piston ring land a month later. So after getting some crazy quotes to rebuild it(£4500!!) i decided to do it myself(using forged pistons this time).
So it's been back on the road for 2 weeks now, and is presently in the Shetland Isles visiting my parents. Driving back to Northern Ireland next weekend though as thats where i live now.

Thanks! Yeah, it's booked in on the 19th of this month once i get back to NI. It'll be well run in by then, and i can get the fuelling set up to suit an all. Made 342bhp before the rebuild so would be interesting to see if it makes anywhere near the same lol, as i'm certainly no professional engine builder!
Not keen on Advans myself, so will probably be getting some new ones in the next couple of months.

Very nice
As much as I dislike those wheels as a rule, I think they look okay on your car for some reason, maybe because it sits quite well on them.
Edited to say: Well done on the engine rebuild, must have saved yourself a fair wedge and plus you have the added satisfaction of knowing it's all your own work

Cheers Cliff, yeah saved a fortune. Was going to cost £4500 for a rebuild on standard pistons, and i did a fully forged rebuild with all new race bearings for aroubd £1600 in the end, and thats including all the new seals, gaskets, oils and fluids etc, plus i learnt a whole lot along the way!
