New Member & My R53 MC - S
Discussion
Good afternoon,
Just thought I would post some pics of my Cooper S, I know these arent hugely loved by the hardcore members but IMO its a great car. Its up there with my MK1 FRS and both pre & facelift EP3 Civic Type R's.
I recently fitted perfomance airbox and i'm addicted to the whine from the Supercharger.........

Cheers

Not sure why they aren't loved on here, absolutly fantastic car! I miss mine very very much, your right about the supercharger whine, its so addictive and by far one of the best sounding cars I have ever had the pleasure of driving. I drove other hot hatches, CTR, Leon Cupra R, ST ect and the MINI, for me was far far better just for the noise alone.
Great colour as well. Stick a reduced pulley on there and a Miltek system and it'll sound even better, although you will be visiting the pumps even more.
Yours has the aero grill conversion as well, I went for that with mine and it looks much better than the standard grill.

The Aero grill was a must for me, the only downside of the Mini’s is the shed load of chrome bits BMW added.
In my opinion the cars handling is second to none, it is so predicable with liftoff over-steer on tap if you are looking for fun. Neither my last facelift EP3 Civic Type-R or MK1 FRS didn’t inspire you with any confidence that if the rear stepped it would easily come back with a little opposite lock.
I’ve got 11% pulley in mind which I am looking to pair with a new cam, but that is at least two months away at the moment. New R105 alloys next and new rubber!!!

The aero grill does really does improve the looks a lot. There are a few people who don't like them on here, I suspect the vast majority haven't driven one though
Enjoy!
