Evening all, been browsing for a while thought id join up tonight and post a pic or 2

Have had a ford and pug fetish from an early age, mainly 205 gti's just love 'em!

Well, here's my current car, thought id try something different - it's a standard 106 gti, non sunroof, 1 owner car that i picked up a couple of weeks ago smile

And a few pics of my previous cars, hope you like smile

And the beast that i inherited from my dad a few years ago, think i contributed to a lot of Shell's profits whilst i had this!

Sorry for all the pics, hope you like smile

Question to OP.
If you had to track prep either a 205 or a 106, what would you go for?
Which is the better drivers car?

For me its too close too call, id have to flip a coin! I think out of the box the 106 would be quicker but theres so much you can do to a 205 - gti-6 engine, cage, decent suspension, decent brakes and tyres and youve got an awesome little motor.

The 106 ripp's though, the 16v engine is a peach, it justs pulls and pulls! I actually prefer the way it drives to the 205 and its as quick as my rallye was. Handling is spot on but it lacks the special feel the 205 gives you - its something i cant explain!

They are both great little cars, very capable on track.

If your going to track prep one I think youd be best to drive them both & then decide - you wont be disapointed either way smile

Some nice looking Peugeots you have/had there.

I have a soft spot for the little Peugeots after having a couplr of 106 rallyes, I still think they are so much fun on liitle country lanes, true drivers cars.

Hi - Do you know whereabouts of J615 JHR. I used to own this vehicle from 1995 to roughly 2002. Would love to know if it's still on the road.

11 year thread revival!

Looks like it hasn’t been taxed since 2005.
