I like it. The black wheels with silver is a good combination and works, however, i cant say i like the de-bagged grille on this too much. It works with older Golf variants, but on this it makes it look a little cross eyed IMO.

However, I do like it and is also interesting that it's had an LPG conversion. What is the economy like with this? Overall, nice Golf. I like the MK4, and almost bought an Anniversary GTI before buying the BMW.

I agree with above really, I'm not that keen on the de-badged grille especially with the extra piece you have had to add to the bonnet.

Other than that, it looks lovely; they look so much better sat nice and low! Gotta be a testament to VW reliability that thier cars seem to go on forever; I bet that will do another 100k easliy!

I can get 30mpg on LPG but more typically it is about 27. On Petrol the car used to do 32.

We've owned it since 18k miles and 18months old. Interior still looks really good considering the mileage. Still on the original clutch, not looking forward to that job when it comes.

Yeah that sounds like a VW.. Still tanks in terms of build quality. I'm pretty sure the MK2 Driver i had a few years back hadn't had a clutch change until 132k. Great reliable cars.

You will find it handles a LOT better lowered no?

I had a 1.6 Mk4 as a first car a few years ago, previous owner lowered it 40mm handled well.

Recently drove a standard Mk4 1.6 and it handled like a boat!
