I stalk the baords a lot and never make any posts, but due to a workaround at work, I'm gonna start posting the forum smile

So heres my car.

It's a Rover Streetwise..........

On the Stelvio pass

It's done a sub ten minute lap at the old ring too.

I've never heard of a 'Streetwise' - looks like a Rover 200 to me.

What is it?

A diesel Rover 25 with plastic stick on tat.

It's different, and I like it.

Oh, I've run a 15.48 at the Pod @ 88.92..............with a slipping clutch.

Its a rover 200 with big plastic bumpers and roofbars, a dying days model of MG Rover and due to be the next model relaunched by the new MG.

It's a jacked-up version of the 25, bit like a Polo Dune or Audi Allroad. I'll confess I quite like them whistle

Take a jacked-up rover and slam it back down - wobble lunacy !

I take it you have done a bit of 'light tweaking' ?

C'mon spill the beans...

OP I admire your candour, I suspect that your skin is thick enough to ride this thread out!

Gaz GHA/Gold coilovers, 250lb up front, 300lb rear.
OMP strut brace
25mm ARB.
ZR 160 Brakes
ZR 160 rear beam
Braided hoses
Dot 5.1 fluid
GT15/17 Hybrid turbo
EGR removed and blanked off
Kevlar paddle clutch, custom made
Brand new steel caged gearbox, brand new Rover LSD.
Full silicone boost hose setup.
Wingspeed injectors, (183 bar break, 6 nozzle, adjusted spray pattern).
Full Stainless steel turbo back exhaust, no cat, as they're for the lose.
BMC CDA Induction kit
Pieburgh MAF as Bosch is gash.
MAFAM (Maf signal adjuster)

I've got a GT 20 hybrid in process being made, then it'll be time for remapping (Where the Maf will be removed, and a default MAF table installed).

I'd like to polybush the car, stick some stiffer springs, and a rear strutbrace, and some Wilwoods, as I found out the hard way that the brakes are st at the Ring, but at the minute, I'm sorting out other things.

Trick of the light, definatly.

It's a Rover, it's funny (That's the idea with the plate). I've heard all the jokes about Rovers, but I've grown up with them, and they're piss easy to work on.

But I need a commuter car, so it had to be diesel.

I've always had a soft spot for the Streetwise model. I almost bought one a few years ago but got a Smart ForFour instead.

Loving what you've done with yours OP! smile

Mental.

I love the fact that you took a car which had raised suspension as standard. And decked it.

But...

Bonkers. I actually like Rover 25s.

Actually quite like the look of that paperbag

Kind of think it deserves a better boot spoiler though - perhaps off a ZR or something. The small one looks wierd now that you've actually made the rest of it look pretty good! All IMHO though.

edit: The post above is referring to the Rover 200 BRM (Google...).
