Hello,
After getting bored of my Camouflaged Rover 416i I gave it to my sister and her new husband as a wedding present (they needed a car and I wanted something nicer!)
So here is my new project:
I picked her up on Friday after driving 200 miles to have a look She isn't perfect, but it's my aim to make her as mint as possible, and for the price I got her I'm not moaning!
Got her booked in for a damned good service on 5th October, and in the meanwhile I'm collecting bits!

Awesome looking car. Mate of mine had an E30 320i with close to 200k miles on it. Engine was buletproof, sounded amazing too.
Not so sure on the bulletproof, or maybe there is a design flaw on the 325 engine? Mate had a 325, engine was fantastic (performance was stunning with an engine management upgrade, although he reversed it out when he saw economy drop something rotten). It was all going well until the top end of the engine siezed. it had been well serviced, but some oil feeds to the top of the engine got blocked ....sniff diesel said:

Yup yup, only done a few miles in it thus far but loving every minute of it. Spending this week sourcing bits and bobs, and have Friday off to fettle it with my dad - who has already had a poke around today!It seems I need new suspension, any recommendations? I believe it has been lowered, I like the stance it has at the moment, so would like to keep it similar...

You could go for the classic Bilstein/Eibach setup.Expensive but quality or go for some standard shocks and get some schnitzer lowering springs.I did this on a 3 series which lowered it perfectly and the ride felt no different.It transformed the handling.

I may give it a miss for the time being thanks dude, speant a fortune on her this month, and more of the same next month!

Waxoyled her,
replaced front and rear drop links and arb bushes,
replaced all fluids,
had a complete service,
thatcham cat 2 immobilizer,
remote central locking,
dried the carpet out,
rocker cover gasket,
sparkplugs.
clutch hoses (perishing),
and given her a damned good clean!
She seems to have freed up beautifully after all this, I love it!
Next job on the list is fettle and fit the front spoiler which I got hold of, replace the fog light and number plates, then look into sorting out the sounds

Minor update, the front 318is spoiler is on, opted for satin black, I think it ties in with the blacked rear area of the cars anyways...
This weekend the foglight is getting replaced, and I'm going to sort out the speakers - some nobber has hacked away the parcel shelf for big speakers, but I'm just keeping it low key with some amplified 6.5's at the rear and amplified components up front methinks...

Did a quick google and I just don't think the white works with the black found on the bottom of the rest of the car!
Already took an edge off reversing off my drive, d'oh! This one is only a replica as I couldn't find a real front spoiler, well, that was until the day after I bought this one, so getting a real one now!
