Another mx5/Roadster, but with a twist.

Thought I would share some pictures of my new mx5, it’s had a fairly rare “pitcrew” nose cone conversion in Japan to look more retro with mini headlights.
It’s a little marmite styling wise but I really like it, as for me MX5s are great cars only slightly let down by being a little to common.
It has some good track modifications already; coilover suspension, role bar and better brakes. I hope to enjoy a few track days and maybe add forced induction at a later date).

It is certainly a bit marmite, but I think it looks quite different. Reminiscent of the TVR S2.

I like it too mate clap

Only thing it could do with imo is some alterations to the back to match the alterations on the front if that makes sense? Different tail lights/bumper or something smile

I reckon it would be quite good without the numberplate there.

If they extended the bonnet to loose where the pop-ups were the pit crew would look ok, but because they haven't it looks an afterthought mess in my opinion, sorry.

There's similar one in a car park where I work but the rear lights have also been modified, it now has indivdual round rear lights amd indicators. I can't take any pics though as the owner is away on deployment and I would prefer to have permission first.

Love it! I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it.

(Although it's a shame something couldn't be done to reshape the leading edge of the bonnet so that the original headlamp locations are disguised.)
