Out of interest, what mpg do you get from it in normal driving? I drove one of these a few years ago and the performance was so bad that you had to drive it like you stole it to get it to go anywhere at a normal speed and the mpg took a dive because of this which in my mind, gives it the worst of both worlds! Would be interested in your take...
Hi All,
My Mods :-
Remap to 129 bhp from 115 (13% increase in torque as well).

Parrot CK3000 / Connects2 Hands Free Kit
Citreon/Peugeot Short Antenna
The brakes are amazing, much more progressive than standard. I jumped in to a group buy for them on another forum, just after a reasonable online poker win

Dougie.
wow - what a load of piss take replies to a genuine post from a new guy. seriously - those who ripped into the brakes - get a life
regardless of engine size, the brakes are the most important part on a car. And, owning a 130i m sport myself, i can vouch for the fact they are a superb handling car (and that MSV have a host of 116i's at oulton for teaching how to drive on track - so they cant be that bad a car)
So, to the OP - great choice of car, and good choice of upgrades. The brakes look superb and will, as you say, not only give you better pedal feel and progression, but mean you can really drive the car with vigour
get the car on track to see it come alive - and you can laugh at those idiots who rip you for fitting performance brakes on a "slow" car, as you brake later and lap faster than them
seriously, at times, this place is full of idiots

Yeah, I don't think people were ripping into him about it, just questioning whether they were the genuine article and if so wondering why they were fitted? I've never seen the BMW Motorsport calipers on a non-track car, in fact I thought they came without dust caps so weren't really designed for road use?Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
