Bit of a lurker here, thought it was about time I contributed.

Here's my trio of V8's, 2002 Audi D2 S8 4.2l, 1969 Corvette C3 Stingray Roadster 5.7l manual, 2003 Corvette C5 5.7l.

All very different cars but great fun in there own way.

The Stingray is beautiful and the Audi looks very, very clean.

However - not so fond of the wheels/number plates on the C5. That is just personal preference though, the car is awesome.

i would be careful driving the vette around with those plates as there illegal

They are indeed illegal; nice cars all the same ...

Nice cars i like, would be a bit of a ballache changing the plates everytime you drive it though surely?

Plates are on velcro and can be changed in seconds.

Yellow looks awful!

Great choice of wheels on the C5, lovely car.

S8 is nice in a big old bruiser luxury barge type way

Don;t like the red on the stingray (prefer white perhaps) but still a very cool car.

Very difficult question, very fond of the C5, it's a great car and very under estimated. It was used as my daily commuter of 50 miles a day for 4yrs. It's now retired from commuter duties, that's the role of the S8.

The C3 has a great character, sounds awesome, 400bhp on old school 15inch 65 profile tyres can be "fun".

The S8 is a bit of everything, best described as refined.

So I think it's the C5.

Yes the plates are a bit naff, got a plate to go on it just don't fancy a day at the local DVLA office.

I must admit i thought i was opening up the page of a "napier bentley" type car or some Merlin engined 1920's Alvis, but i cant say i was too disappointed, as i like stingrays.

Those pictures make me wonder why we're not allowed to have black and silver plates on new cars. I assume ANPR can read them, and all modern cars are plastered in reflectors and lights anyway.

Let us have black and silver plates! Black goes with anything, white and yellow do not.

Agreed, my car would look a lot neater and better with black and silver plates as would many others.
