Just thought i'd start a build/resto/fix article for my caddy. Not long turned 17 and have my driving test next week, no real worries about not passing but there's always a chance of failing! frown But anyway, my caddy was bought as pictured, and in light of insurance prices, has been up on the classifieds on here before. But now i've gotten myself a decent quote which means I can keep it. Dad has his own paint/bodywork business and some mechanical experience. So once i've (hopefully) passed the caddy will be going in for some work. A full engine out going over, as under the bonnet remains white from the previous owner. The whole car is getting it's current signal orange paintwork replaced by "Arancio Atlas" (Lamborghini orange to you and me) Engine having a good going over and getting everything working properly.
This is how it looks at the moment and will be posting more pics once the job has begun.
P.S: Anyone know what my wheels are called? I have no idea and haven't seen another set about...

Nice base to start on, bodywork looks in good condition as it is now.
Are you planning to just respray it or customising the interior aswell, also are you going to be performing engine swap or try increase the power of the standard engine?

Nice caddy- good choice for your first car. The wheels look similar to porsche cookie cutters. This caddy is very similar to yours but with cc's on.

It's rare to see a Caddy with such flat sides. Usually even restored ones look like a fairground hall of mirrors from the side profile.

As i'm only 17, i'm not looking to increase my insurance quote, although I do have some serious plans for modifying the engine or even a swap once funds/raping insurance companies allow.

Yeah we've recently acquired a cat c Audi TT (Mk1) with black leather recaro's. (I think) I'm gonna see how much it would take to persuade them to fit...

Currently finishing off a rear end job on a Nissan GTR, and after that, dad say's there's a space to get the Caddy in and begin.

Very cool 1st car mate. I always wanted a Caddy- not sure what it is about them but they are just cool. Leather TT trim will be nice in it if you can fit it.

Top job and congratulations on passing your test, now you can go out and enjoy what you've built.

You have a very cool looking car for your "first car", i'll bet your mates are all pretty envious.

Good luck with getting the seats in and get some pictures up once it's done.
