Done 130k without a clutch or cambelt change!

Bin anything approaching a creature comfort:





Go shopping, Bilstein coilovers, H&R rollbars, TT shop induction kit, uprated engine mounts, S3 Milltek, custom de-cat/adapter pipe, Forge diverter valve, Cobra Monaco pro buckets, CG locks, Forge shortshift, Goodridge brake lines, TT 3.2 calipers, Zimmerman discs, redstuff pads:









Nail it all on, paint wheels a silly colour, snap lots of bolts, replace a few bits that turned out to be fine anyway :











And you're about there! Just going to drop it off to the bodyshop to sort some age related blemishes, cover it in stupid bright orange stickers, get the wheels pointing in the same direction then take it to castle combe and try not to blow the damn thing up! Took it out for a quick 'shakedown'; it's a proper little pocket rocket, so much more alive than an S3!

Will be being abused at Audi driver International on the 9th, come say hello!

Reminds me of that more recent Fabia vRS concept with the Super 1600 wheels on it. I like.

4k for a crap S3? About the same as what this cost in total. Car won't be used on the road so we'd have another 2-3k to spend on top anyway. Run the risk with a very cheap S3 that it's been driven to within an inch of its life whereas this has lived on the M4 and been serviced very regularly throughout. Perfect base car.

The long long term plan is to have big, built power anyway so base engine doesn't make a huge amount of difference.

how does the quattro system work? do the rears only come into play when the fronts slip?
i hear a uprated haldex controller gives the rear a little more interaction.
top choice of suspension bits. looks a proper tool

Haldex does indeed engage the rears when the fronts slip; it will be getting the clever Haldex controller but that'll have to be later down the line when the budget permits.

Nice liek this, there was a stripped A3 1.8T with 888's at a knockhill session earlier this year which was bloody quick

All the rubbers, belts, mounts, fluids and any other service parts we could think of have been renewed, upgraded or both!

I think both seats are full all day already; be lucky if I get a go at this rate.
