Mondeo ST155 Tdci

Collected this on Friday. Have covered 800miles since then and thus far it has been utterly faultless (touches wood!)
Comfy, loaded with toys (and even has the expensive Recaro option that the dealer didn't mention in advert), frugal (av 47.8mpg) great power for what it is. Only slight complaints are the brakes and handling is a little wallowy. But this is coming from a series of hot hatches, to a Lotus Elise, to a Honda S2000 and now this.
She needs some TLC. There is bizarrely no boot floor, nor can I seem to source one at present (yes, checked for accident damange & HPI!), there are some scratches on the body work, it needs two front jacking point cover plates, the front tyres are different and the wheels all need refurbishing. But so far, these are minor complaints for what is a very good alround car!

Ford should sell the boot floor and as I recall it isn't that expensive - I did have the part number somewhere but looking through the stuff on my PC from when I had mine I can't find it.
If you do refurb the wheels please get them diamond cut again as they just don't look anywhere near as nice if they're done in a flat silver!

Did wonder about the Focus conversion but thought would be a lot of £.

Sounds like an idea...
Does seem odd about the boot floor, makes you wonder what had to happen for it to vanish! Also all the floor mats are missing, but it obviously had luxury Ford mats at some point as the carpet fixings are still there. Interior otherwise is spotless, not a scratch anywhere. Not bad for a four year old car with 54k!
Did wonder about the Focus conversion but thought would be a lot of £.

Probably used for transporting a body. Or something. 
I had an estate one of these as a hire car when the company ran out of Micras. Certainly a very quick motor, and frugal too as I realised 5 miles into a return trip to Bolton when I found I had forgotten my wallet and needed to go all the way there and back on one tank...

Focus ST calipers are getting expensive, as it's a known conversion these days. I picked up a pair for £50... you'll be lucky to get them for £250 now. There was a garage that was doing "drive-in, drive-out" change for about £500 (inc discs, pads and fluid change).
ARB on the ST220 is thicker... think there are a few other subtle changes too - I'll see if I can dig 'em out.
Boot floor in mine is a bit sad looking. There are two foam raisers to cover the spare wheel, then a bit of MDF covered with shoddy looking carpet. I bought the plastic non-slip boot protector from Ford. Works well, but not cheap for what it is.
As for the mats - shop around... seen all four for about £30 in the past. Buy them separately and they can get silly ££.

They do look fairly standard, but are a fair bit different, noticably so in comfort. But I like the fact they don't look too out of place. Race seats with harness holes would look daft imo.
Gave her a scrub today, tcut a couple of scratches out. So wish I could get the wheels done, but they'll have to wait a couple of months.
She is surprisingly quick too, I think the chap in the 3series was a little upset as he blast past me on a d/c and I kept up (no I didn't see what engine, of course, it must of been a mapped 335d

The only thing I couldnt get over was the fact it sounded the same as a Transit van.
