Just thought id share a few pics of my ford puma, been using it daily to get to a from work which is killing me, but the soon to arrive focus diesel means i can get on with turning it into a full on track spec car..

Major mods include,

Piper 4 branch manifold and full s/s system
Carbon fibre bonnet
300mm brake conversion
Stripped interior
flowed throttle body and MAF
Direct air feed from bumper to air box

just need to get some big bucket seats to complete the interior

The plan is for ITB's, Dastek piggy back ecu, newman fast road cams and then some headwork, aiming for 180bhp.

...anyway heres a few pics

I've got the perfect seats for that...

Passenger one's in the garage. Cobra Evo's retrimmed (by previous owner) in black leather with orange alcantara, and backs repainted metallic black.

I really like that.

Possibly would bring the wing mirrors back to black though.

Have been told that Pumaspeed are specialists in Pumas if you are looking for more power.

How much is it lowered by? Pumas always look too high, but that sits nice.

Also, how much use does it get on the road? I think it looks great!

Those seats look amazing... I want them!

Cheers for the comments guys, the car gets used every day for my 70 mile round trip to work and back, starting to get back ache from the coilovers

Its lowered 80mm at the back and 60mm at the front

And the wing mirrors will be going carbon fibre soon!

Lovely, I'm about to sell my green one but I'm really tempted to strip it and turn it into a track car, the problem is I'd want to steal the FRP intake manifold from the silver one we have and the OH wouldn't approve smile

I'm looking to release a bit more power on the 1.7 too so hope to be able to follow this one for updates, keep us posted.

I'm getting pretty good power gains as it is with this engine, like I say its got full piper system inc manifold, performance plugs and leads and then the air scoop in the bumper, had it dyno'd last month and it made 133bhp and 160nm which I was pretty happy with, cams will be fitted in the next month and with a re map that should easily get me up to 140bhp

Sorry to go off topic but is that a trick of the camera angle or is the top of the steering wheel roughly in line with where the top of your head would be?

The car goes into the workshop tomorrow, being kept away for the winter and ive bought a focus diesel for the time being, really gonna miss hooning about in my little puma, but it gives me time to fix all the little niggles and make it even better!!

and dont worry, there's gonna be plenty of pics of the progress!
