so long story short.

im buying my first house and this means that my much loved M3 has to go. ( when i get round to doing the ad)

so i went looking for somthing around the 3K mark. had to be ph ish.

went out looking for somthing like an e36 or hot hatch of some sort or maybe even a classic. came back with this.

first job done clean and feed the stearing wheel came up quite nicely

now it needs some tidying ect but with near to a years MOT and 6 months tax i couldnt resist.

anyone no where i might get 2 center caps £117 each from bmw and that might not include the locks

found it at a dealer's in buckingham he had had it well over a year so i stole it for less than 3.5K
with tax. next on the list new bushes as it judders like mad when on the brakes. then it needs a good going over with the mop to tidy the paint. as far as i have can see its just got one little rust spot
on the boot lid.

other than that its just got lots of little niggely bits

dont think a good service would go a miss either

Cheapest tax and tested B10 V8 ever? A good clean and polish and it'll look great. Maybe get rid of the spoiler?

Astonishing value.

Yep, that's what I call economising. And just how did you justify that to the current/future Mrs Hoppo4.2? beer

One way of justifying it us it should turn a small profit. Economy is not good but it's only use at the week end/ some evenings. It's done 120k and aside from the worn front bushes it drives spot on. New ones ordered, powerflex are £10 less than standard replacements

That looks like a very good buy. A good polish and maybe a new set of number plates and it'll look fantastic.

Was the reason for selling the M3 to get a car that was cheaper to run? If so, Well Done that man! thumbup Who needs money when you have V10 smile

That would be a good statement if he had a V10.

It wasn't ment to be cheaper to run (good job as it's currently sitting at 16.2 mpg). Just needed to relese some funds from the m3 and wanted to still have a bit of fun but in a less expensive car

All credit to you (especially for getting the missus to agree). I'm impressed.

On a more serious note you shouldn't suffer any depreciation (as you say, you should turn a profit), I would imagine what you paid must be rock bottom for these cars; and that at the end of the day is the biggest cost of motoring.

At 120k it's just nicely run in too.

Awesome motor for the money - what are these 330 bhp and similar 330 lb ft? What does that equate to in 0-60 terms? Presumably it's not restricted to 155mph either...

Looking forward to seeing the post MOP pics!
