I really like that. Makes me want to fit the JCW kit to mine. Trouble is once I do that then I'll want to change my Crown spokes for some JCW challenges............

Thanks for all your comments- I did have the challenge wheels on my last MINI, but they were too much of a pain to clean! I quite fancy some pace alloys.

Thanks- yes black roof. I changed the mirror caps to white.
Didn't have the pleasure of owning an R53 though. I had a R56 D but someone crashed into the back of me on the motorway (thread on here last year).
The R53 imo is a little bit prettier than the R56 and the supercharger noise is nicer. Apart from that the R56 is better in every way!

Nice motor! Those early R53's do look nicer (esp. the headlights)- but once you're sat behind the steering wheel of a thing, you won't notice it.
