Sorry for the crap pics but here is my replacement for the FTO, cost a grand total of £850, the sills are mint and it had a full respray by Mazda 4 years ago.....already has a k+n air filter and mazda parts single exhaust....only current plans are to de-cat it and sort out the torn seats!!!

I really wouldn't bother with a decat, I did my 1.8 MK1 and the very small power increase wasn't worth the noise penalty!

Looks to be a good shape, enjoy!

Every time I put them to the back of my mind another person gets one and I'm tempted again.

Yours does look nice.

Do K&N filters make much difference? My ladies has a Mazda Speed Exhaust and she likes the slight grumble from it. Will a K&N bring much performance/ noise to the party?

Best one I used was the Jackson Racing cold air intake, not sure if it still available. Had that with a borla exhaust and it seemed to make a bit of difference

I have noticed that the exhaust pops and crackles on the over-run a lot more with a k+n fitted than it did when I had my old mx-5 fitted with a pipercross, even tho the exhausts are the same, don't know why??? Car is much better composed then my old type-s, guess it's because of the standard suspension instead of the blisteins??

I love my car, but every-time someone gets one of these for circa 1k i get tempted to sell my car and free up abit of money and just buy an mx5. But i wouldn't free up much cash and ive only had my current since August.

Excuse my ramblings, its a nice little example.

Cracking price you've paid there, looks a nice example too!

Does it have any of the fancy extras you could get on the V-Specs? Doesn't look like it's got the bilstein suspension but could have an LSD and other goodies?

This is killing me. Can anyone tell me what the little, what looks like a dash light, is for just above the fuel gauge?

from memory I think it's for the heated rear screen on a hardtop.

Heated rear screen is right. We have a proper heated back window in ours.

Comes with full tan leather interior, nardi steering wheel and an LSD but no blistein suspension, which after having that on my old type-s im glad!!!
