My Peugeot 309 and 206 gti's.

Hi all! I've been on here for a while, but I have never officially introduced myself. The Jason Plato thread brought my attention to the fact that PH has a forum as well as lots of cars to browse in the classifieds section. Anyway, onto business...

Here's the fleet.

My GTi 180:





Bought March 2009 with the following modifications:
Induction Kit
Remap (sitting at around 183bhp ATF)
Janspeed Cat Back exhaust
Eibach Pro Kit Dampers
Eibach Sportline Springs (lowered around 35mm at the front and 8mm on the rear)
17" OZ Super Tourismo's with Prada Spec 2's
Rear parking sensors from a 307.


I added from my old 206:
Black mask valeo head lights
Rear smoked crystal lights
Alpine 9887r head unit
Alpine type-r 10" subwoofer
Alpine MRP-F600 amp
Alpine type-r 17cm components

309 Goodwood GTi
This was on the way down to Pugfest.


Bought October 2009
Covered 40,000 miles
Under-side has been treated
Loads of history
Done lots to it to tidy it up to this standard, but more to come.

This i didn't mean to buy this 309 GTi...


..but being a rare colour for the 309, fairly low miles (77k when i bought it), on spax coilovers, new discs & pads all round, fully treated underside and re-built rear axle plus much more and pictures like this to back up all the work I was sold.



I have no intentions of buying any more cars soon!!

Nice selection, its strange but I find the 309 ugly and attractive and always did. Now with the limited numbers they have become quite special. If I saw you in the green one at a petrol station I would come over for a few words. Well done they look immaculate.

Cheers Steve. That's what I quite like about the 309 because they're so understated/not really liked as much as the 205 (even though the 309's handling is a little more planted). I also like the look of them, ok they're not beautiful like a Ferrari but I like them!

To the general public, I enjoy how not everyone knows really what it is and the fact that I do makes them interesting to me and in some ways makes them more personal rather than driving about in a flash car.

Loving the Goodwood. Always wanted one of them, and still do TBH. I looked around for a 309 GTi/SRi/XSi recently for something to smoke about in but couldn't find anything decent locally so ended up with a Xsara VTS. Bit more modern, but it hasn't got the 205/309 rawness.

Thanks for the kind words guys The 309 SRi's are really scarce now and when you find one it's usually a 5 door.

The blue one is probably rarer than the Goodwood to be honest but the Goodwood is in better condition. I only know of around 6 miami 3dr gti's in existence and one was the very rare gti-16 in LHD.

I had a 1990 3 door 309GTI from 91 - 96, did 108,000 miles in it, fantastic car, did get a bit costly when it went over the 100k though (mind you I was using a Peugeot dealer at the time!)

Really loved it, I've been thinking about getting a 205 1.9 GTi for a bit of fun, but your photos have brought back fond memories, maybe a 309 could be required

Didn't realise the Miami Blue cars were so rare these days. About 7 years ago a bunch of us drove down to the South of France for a holiday. A good mate of mine had this at the time:



I loved that car, and it's the 309 I would choose just after the Goodwood. So if you ever wanna sell one...

I had the battered 205 XS in the background - that thing was a money pit but it just kept going despite all the abuse it got! Before that I had a 309 SRi (the 5 door, the XSi was the 3 door), which at 18 was a brilliant car!

Nice picture! *saves to 309 folder* haha. I haven't seen that one before so i'll make that i know of 7 in existence then per say. That one in the picture is even rarer because of the reflective panel on the boot lid. It's been known for people to pay up to £150 for them in good condition. EEEK!

Hope some of you guys get back into pugs again then...it's just good, relatively cheap fun. I must say the petrol costs are horrendous in the miami 309. The goodwood isn't too bad but I only mainly do motorway miles in it going to shows etc. I drive the blue one around town now and then.

Well done on keeping the 309s so mint! I had a 1.9 205GTi when I was 18. Hot hatch perfection.
It's nice to see 80's and 90's hot hatches being kept alive. Cars that were ten-a-penny in the early to mid nineties are now seldom seen, so hats off to you!
