This is my old work car 
found the videos this morning and thought PH might enjoy a bit of fun!
1962 FV436 MK2/1 Tracked Personnel Carrier
240bhp @ 3750rpm
Rolls Royce K60 Multi Fuel 6 Cyl Inline Engine
6 Speed semi-automatic gearbox with torque converter providing full lockup via hydraulic stata.
This clip is about 2yr old, and Is a video of me teaching my drivers advanced driving in inclement weather on a parade square. I'm driving, with the instructee in the commanders position and I'm talking over intercom to him/her showing them how the vehicle reacts to certain inputs. Principally "The harsher you are with the controls, the worse it will react. You have to ease the vehicle in to the movement in order to prepare it, and make it react the way you want" We also covered counter steering and that too much can be as worse as none at all.. All in all, I took a day to get a few drivers through this part, it's a fun departure from classroom work, and they take away a surprising amount, but for most it was a case that they'd never driven in conditions like this before.
Unfortunately, the new powerplant equipped vehicle isn't as flexible as this older variant, it's steering is too twitchy and the turbocharger too harsh in German Winter conditions, and it generally tends to over steer and then lunge, which is fun when you mean to do it, not so much fun when you are on a busy snow covered B road!

Shame the video isn't the best quality, and doesn't show quite how far sideways I managed to get it!
Just a quick picture from the last drivers course I ran this year, this is with the new turbocharged vehicle... There are more hidden away in the depths of my laptop.. Just need to find them! As you can see... The driver is about half a second away from being fully submerged!
When the vehicle went through a tank dip, and got stuck in the ruts of a Challenger II.. I could reach under the tracks for a good foot!
Me, having given up after 3hrs of fighting against a 14 tonne vehicle, freezing water and thick gloopy mud that sucked boots off your feet.. Two additional 436s en route to pull us out perfect timing for my recovery lesson!!
Quick size comparison.. RS is about 10m closer
That was my second vehicle, unfortunately the first took on water during the cross country phase and didn't swim effectively.. Totalled the powerpack by blowing a hole in the head and shearing the turbo casing (hold turbo, freezing cold water
