So this is my 7th Honda.

Bought from my local pikey rag paper, for next to nothing with shagged bodywork and the roof broken.

Spending a couple of days in the garage under the combined tool/spraying efforts of myself and 2 friends and we to from this...

To this.

Still a long way to go, but it owes less than a SOTW biggrin

C&C welcome.

looking good! - was half expecting some half baked matt black roof/bonnet to be honest!

Wish I had both painting skills and room to do it

Top job

A friend had a import SiR quite some time ago now with the B16 engine. Really good fun for what it was and didn't feel too disimilar to another friends dc2 - was quite surprised.

I quite want one of these whistle

I take it (from the fact that it's broken) that this is one of the mentally complicated "Transtop" electric roof ones? If you can replace that, you'll save somewhere north of 100kg, with a corresponding performance increase.

What engine does it have?

It's the 1.5 D series. Just shy of 130bhp.

Yeah its the transtop, I love it. Although it is over complicated, its amazing to see it working and to thing its 20 year old engineering that still works and looks cool...

Certainly looks funky when it's de-roofing, but i'm not certain i have that much time in my life to be able to wait that long whilst it does it......;-)

It takes just over 30 seconds. Which for old technology is pretty quick..

I begrudge spending money on it because I really want a S220 S500 in white with Black Brabus wheels and tints....

But I need to wait :P

Unfortunately. Or fortunately depending how you look at it laugh

I'm not a fan of older Civics/CRX's. I'm making an exception having this as it's really an EG chassis :P

Do like these, was looking into buying one 4-5 years ago but didn't make it happen.

How easy was it to fix the roof then?

I replaced the upper Tilter motor and that was it. The cogs in them are notorious for breaking...

How much does one of these weigh?

And is your 1.5D 130bhp as standard?
