My Mini!! (classic)
Discussion
So, I finally got rid of my old Punto and found myself craving a classic Mini. Had a budget of around £2000 and picked up this 72 for £1850.
It's a 1275cc and a rolling project, needs a good solid tidy up to be truly worthy

Has slight rust on both front wings and the bonnet. Will get a complete new front when I have more money.

Has a stage one tuning kit, hence the exhaust.

After market suspension kit.
This one to be precise http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-parts/info_SUS...
One small hole about the size of erm, a wasp? It's small anyway and I have to patch that up.
It has perfect floors and boot. I've put on a removable OMP steering wheel.

I take it off every time I leave the car
Had these come through the post today

And I've ordered these tonight: Ball Joint Kit - 1959-2001
Drive Shaft Rubber Boot
Radius Arm Spindle & Bush Recon Kit
Radiator Cap - 13lb - Short Neck, 1970-80
Brake Shoe set Mintex Standard - Rear
Head Gasket Set - Mini 1275cc
Might need a few other bits and bobs.
It has MOT but I'll be keeping it off the road until I'm happy.
Other things will be done, I'll update everything. Previous owner put in a decent sound system, 1000w amp/subwoofer, plenty of speakers. Not really something I'd have done myself but it's in so not complaining.
I'll get more pictures soon, better quality ones as well because I took all those from my iPhone.

Quick update,
have been doing an engine "rebuild". Port polished etc etc etc.
Fired her up for the first time after the build last night and she goe's like stig. The quick shifter is going to take some getting used to though!
She has a little oil leak at the moment, it's round by the fan belt/radiator. Part to fix is only about £5 from my local shop.
Buzzing to get her properly on the road again.

- Also convinced my brakes are simply for show
