And with another thread to upset many PH'ers I'm sure....

4x4's aren't fast are they? No, they topple over and are slow slow slow
Well a couple of weeks back I just couldn't help taking the old Jeep out for a play. This was the result

And we managed to put in some rather acceptable stage times too, of which I'm quite pleased about.
If anyone wonders how quick £500 worth of Cherokee can be I also had opportunity to do some Dynolycious runs too. Not bad for a leaf sprung, live axled, OHV powered 16 year old off roader

Looks fun, do you have a complete thread for your Jeep? I've always liked the look of these and at that sort of money I should start looking a little harder for one.
No not done a thread on it. They are a lot of good 4x4 for the money and a decent alternative to a Land Rover. Not as much ground clearance as a Disco in stock trim, but they are easy to lift. And as you can see, they go ok on the Tarmac too. I certainly wouldn't have thrown my Disco about the same or been as quick in it compared to the Jeep. They like a drink mind, budget 15-20mpg. Although I've had a high of 23mpg so far.

I could do with something to throw the wife and kids in and tow stuff with. I like the idea of a Disco but they are mostly rotten at the price range I want to look at and the V8 will do much less than 15MPG. Probably!
