MG B roadster pleasures, young again
Discussion
This little charmer was rescued from lockup a couple of years ago,it had been fully restored before he bought it but his wife said NO, so he put it away and locked the door !! Cut a long story short I found it from a friend as a "shed of the week project" project and value, then had it dragged out and brought home.
It had been badly stored and rusted out rad, seized brakes etc all the things tossers leave to go wrong. Did it up for daughter as a gift, but she is tiny and struggled with steering when parking etc, so it sat in another garage for a year - it felt like a prisoner doing time.
Got it out last week, gave it a good once over, taxed and insured and had fun over holidays, it is like a sewing machine, sweet but with a touch of smoke to be resolved.
Whizzing around made an old man smile, more leisurely than the hot E Type but good open air fun, not meant to be a boring thread but at least another one liberated from dark sheds, !!

With it came a rare/original Ashley GT hardtop for winter use ! - first day out in it I had a good offer for it, will do the last few jobs and probably keep it for the summer, its a fun little car and brings a smile in the sun, seems to be doing about 100mph when open, dont have much hair left and sure some more went when pushing along in third gear and well round on rev. counter.
