My new car smile I know its probably not to everyones taste but I love it

Seems to attract some unwanted attention, In the four years of owning my diesel Bora I have never been challenged at the traffic lights, within two days of owning this and I've been challenged twice eek

Its pretty well spec'd with Bluetooth, Climatronic and Parking Sensors along with the insurance being stupidly low compared to something like a 2.0T Octy vRS which was double what they want for this little beast, over two years warranty and free break down and no MOT for another two years it should be happy motoring.

Nice motor, great colour but I think you mean 3 years warranty and 3 years till MOT.

Nice, I like that smile Lovely colour.

Mums got the 1.4 TSI 140 (mk5 Golf GT) and I had a sneaky look at revotune the other day, 205bhp for €500! these little engines are amazing, they certainly raise a few eyebrows when you tell people they're a 1.4!

I used to have one of these as a company car, absolutely cracking bit of kit. However the 1.4TSI engine is quite fragile, 5 of the 1.4 TSI engines in our fleet were constantly at Skoda for the engine management light being on. Mine was overboosting and needed a replacement actuator valve and turbo after 300 miles. I always let the car cool down etc.

Make sure you run this car in, as that was one of the faults with all of ours. Also the car prefers to be run on higher octane fuel, so Skoda UK told myself and colleagues.

Other than that they are great cars, and sound nice too. That supercharger whine is pretty addictive. Have fun fella

Thanks for the advice, I only plan on running it on V-Power so I should be ok.

I think I could have been just unlucky, a Friday afternoon car as the service manager kept calling it.

How long did you have to wait for your VRS to be delivered fella?

Really nice car, I see what you mean about the 'green' paint being a bit in your face, saying that though I would have still got the green one.

The blue one looks very smart though..I haven't seen many on the road.

You keeping it standard or are you thinking about a re-map after its run-in?

Top Motor though

I even prefer this to a VW Polo GTI

Don't fancy the insurance increase or the strain on the DSG gearbox, at the moment the car is plenty fast enough for my needs and I'm enjoying it, a year or two down the line and that may change though smile

Christ, these sort of comments put me off a bit

I would wait until their problems have been ironed out.

I've had two as demonstrators so far and I do 2000 miles a month in them and I'm far from nice to it and so far I've only had to put half a litre of oil in my current one and none in my first one. It really is a bit hit and miss with these and oil consumption.

OP, my current one is pretty much identical to yours, I think an excellent colour combo, just get used to cleaning the wheels!!!!!!!!
