Winter toy Mini
Discussion
Need some fun when the tiv get's tucked away, The diesel volvo is pretty dull and worth very little and it will be run in to the ground. We traded my girlfriends little fiesta 1.2 in and she is over the moon as it's going to her car. (some times)
Put a deposit down on this this morning its a 2003 mini cooper s with only 21k on the clock.
Blue leather seats Blue carpets looks tidy needs a good detail and machine polish but i will get it up to scratch.
Not many plans for this maybe some front spot lights as i think they look quite smart but thats about it i should think might get the wheels re-furbed as well due to some kerbing.
First time i have driven a new mini and wow great wee cars wish i got one year ago feel great on the road. Cant wait to get it its having a service and new brake pipes which they are bad for apparently pick it up soon.
A few pictures

Had one of these in 2003 new, loved it to death, great little car.
Looks like you have pirelli euforias on the back at least, they are awful tyres.
Yeah just new on the rear same on the front. Run flat things? Are they poor in the wet or dry or just rubbish all together?Looks like you have pirelli euforias on the back at least, they are awful tyres.
Only had a drive for 4-5 miles with the sales man next to me so could not press it on to get a real feel.
Cheers Scott
For about 2-3 years I was considering buying one, my mate worked at BMW and always told me to steer clear of them because they fell to bits. I regret not buying one when I had the chance, I had looked at a Checkmate and a Parklane...
In hindsight my mate probably thought they were unreliable because he saw them in for repair every day (he was in parts, not a mechanic). If you worked at a Honda dealer you'd probably see those in for repair every day too.

I am seriously considering getting one of these or a 182 Cup in October they are great little car's. Also for £650 fitted can get quite a power increase (50bhp) at lohen taking it from 163 to 213bhp which should make them rather rapid for a little car.

For some reason the pirellis tramline really badly, they are prone to wearing very oddly as well. I used Dunlop run flats on mine and it was miles better. I did switch to 18's with non run flats and that was even better!Only had a drive for 4-5 miles with the sales man next to me so could not press it on to get a real feel.

A mini update for this year
Still got it that is nearly 12k we have done in it and so far it has used 6 Tyres (run flats suck)
Front wheel bearing
Brake lines to the rear
Full set of Mintex discs and pads
Air con re-gas
And serviced
New exhaust system as of yesterday
So not too bad
Few pictures of the custom Meerkat Exhaust Nice and quite like i wanted.

I gave it a wash last night and used AutoGlym Aqua wax i am very impressed with it very easy to use and top results for a quick wash

Sorry not very well explained, Meerkat are a custom exhaust company in North Ayrshire.
His web site is being refurbished just now, A few of the big rally names have used him Including the Late Colin Mcrae For his Metro 6r4.
This is the 3rd System he has made for me and his welding and attention to detail is better than off the shelf units i have used before hence i keep going back. I need to get some video's up of the TVR the sound that system makes is like thunder
This system is quite but more free flowing than the standard MCS set up. so win win
