Been working on this for the last few months, engine and box have been test fitted so spent the weekend on the bodywork.

Should be ready for testing early july, can't wait!

I will do my best to keep this updated, the major work to get it running will start next week.

At the moment the engine is a slightly warmed over 4.6 V8 that has minor head work, 4.0ltr pistons to alter the compression ratio and a cam that we dont know much about. Apparently the engine came out of a landrover and had only done a couple of thousand miles before being pulled. The ecu that came with it has been chipped for the mods and we were told it ran 320BHP PMSL some people believe anything!! We reckon it should be good for about 280ish. The sump is away getting winged and baffled and the flywheel is having most of its excessive weight removed to help with the pick up.
If the engine runs well we will do probably 3 meetings then start and tune from there.
I did the Dunlop TVR challenge last year with a 2.9 cosworth V6 Tasmin with about 220bhp so want to take gradual steps with power.

If anyone has any questions about it feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer (or my mecanic will LOL).
Please don't expect a Redvictor style thread,i would love to be able to build my car to that standard but i don't have the money to put into it that he has lol. This is budget racing for pure fun!

Holy thread resurection batman!!!

I promised to update this thread as the build progressed but unfortunately it had to be put on hold due to business commitments.

Well here we are 14 months down the line and.......

I drove her for the first time on saturday and she runs fantastic.

The 4.6 feels very strong and i had trouble keeping traction running round the industrial estate (its all private land biggrin

After working on the car for about 18 months unfortunately its going up for sale!

BUT i already have the replacement, with a bit of luck this won't take as long!
