More bits, managed to get hold of some OEM engine mounts for a good deal, these will go in with the Powerflex inserts as my current (21+ year old rubber!) ones are perished.

The inserts fit very, very easily in brand new mounts! Should be nice and easy to fit when they eventually go back in!

It’s still in the garage and hasn’t moved, but, I’ve put a nice banner up on the wall hehe

I am going to start some work on it soon silly

My mate had an EP3 a while ago and I've always wanted one.

I'd settle for one like yours haha smile

Ah cheers! I still love it even though I now haven’t driven it for nearly 6 months!

So glad to have the garage to have it tucked away safely so it doesn’t matter if I don’t really touch it for a while!

It's amazing how time goes by.

It's been 10 years today that I got on the train and collected my EP3...... In that time I've bought a house, had 2 kids, worked my ass off and got a better job and I still have this bloody old Honda hehe

I dug these pictures out of the day I collected it.....

So much has changed in that time, on and off the car, but I'm so glad that I stuck with it.

Now, I have to decide if I stick with the trusty Rotrex setup, or go big and turbo it.... I've made enquiries with fabricators who build turbo setups and I'm leaning that way, but the thought of spending £XXXX's on it does make me feel a bit light headed.

But, a mate of mine has just bought an M4 and the thought of giving him a whipping is tempting hehe

Still a cracking car wink

I'm seriously considering one of these if the car situation at home changes (wife gets a new job and needs to commute more, so she'll take on the F31) and I'll sell her Racing Jazz/Tin Cup and look to buy a weekend toy (manual for a change)

Been at my pals Grinspeed this morning to use & abuse their ramps for some servicing on the F31 and they had a stunning yellow DC2 in there (fresh Jap import and it smelled typical JDM Honda biggrin); they had a lovely JDM EP3 in there too and an FN2 (rusting apart as they all seem to do now); and for me , the EP3 is still a great looking car and just feels better inside compared to the FN2

If I do decide to put my big boy pants on and step away from BMW; I'll probably go down the EP3 route (don't want to pay the JDM DC2 or DC5 prices)

And got one of the best hot hatches of all time, I don’t think you’ve come out too badly then.

Thanks chaps, It really is still a great bit of kit. I like just looking at it in the garage sometimes silly

I really am still torn whether to stick a turbo on it...... I said if I was starting over again I would have done that rather than the supercharger, the Rotrex thing just really spiralled a bit. I have most of the things to support the turbo, just seems like a lot of work hehe

Dropped the car off for the chain to be done. It's done pretty well getting to 150k on the original chain.

Also decided to change the oil and filter while it was there, Fuchs Titan and HAMP filter.

It certainly is! Jack works there too, and Damian!

IMO its NA or SC for these... Loved my charged DC5; never had a turbo'd Honda; but I've been out in a few and didn't like it at all...

Plus I see more turbo'd Honda's with issues at my pals than any NA/SC powered Honda...

What about reverting back to full NA and maybe a built engine by Clockwise? wink

Yes, I do feel the same way. I honestly don't see how or where I would use another 100+bhp anyway. The 360ish I have really is enough.

I think I'm going to spend some time and money on tidying a few bits up and I'll get the map done again to clean it up and just enjoy it.

More buying of things that I can chuck in the ‘to fit’ pile silly

This is a workman racing shifter cover/trim thing. I’ve got nothing where my hybrid racing shifter is at the moment and saw this on a group buy and thought I would give it a go!

On the pile it goes!!

I love this thread and it’s encouraged me to spend some unnecessary money on my own car but in this case I think you’re making the right choice…

I got on and fitted the new gear selector trim. Not 100% sold on it, but it tidies it up and a bit and fits well!

I also got on and fitted the new fuel pipe and got tit started for the first time this year silly
