Porsche Day at Donington on Sunday
Discussion
The original aim was to put together an all Porsche trackday at Donington Park, including a good number of 964s. In the end we only managed to fill about half of it with Porsches (including 9 x 964s). Still not a bad effort for a first go.
So, if you're one of the 25 Porsches booked on this Sunday....see you there.
...and if you're not booked on but fancy a run out to have a watch, come and say hello.

Yeah I was hoping to get on this.
You all been using bookatrack?
Think I shall still come along though, is it possible to get passenger rides, if so what/do I need to bring with me?
Yes to both. Ideally, bring your own helmet and then sign on for a passenger wrist band. Anyone with a spare seat will be happy to take you out. All you need to do is ask.

Yeh, Great Day, Loads of Porsche action and fantastic weather all day.
What a fantastic track, the craner curves are awsome at speed
Just a fresh chip in the windscreen and a hole in a headlight (something to do with a tuned cosworth about 4 feet infront of me) to show for an epic day of hardcore driving!! (hope your pants wash clean steve)?!!

If you want to know the maximum possible speed though there in a MKII 996 GT3 on road tyres, just ask Mike - he found out

It was a great day, and no incidents or damaged cars and generally very good on track etiquette. We really should have had the sweepstake someone suggested about how many Cosworths would be able to finish the day

Good day, but damn I hate Craner Curves, can't manage to go anywehere faster than 90 and I'm not even a beginner.
After thegoose had finished his tuition with Mike (Sportsandclassic) he was kind enough to jump in with me and give me a few tips about that one. But I still struggled to believe that a little lift was all that was needed down there! I think we'll have to book him as Porsche instructor for the day next year. He's quite happy to help as long as you feed him tea and cakes
Hi there
Was a great day!
Great to meet the guys from Boxster Net, thegoose and thanks to everyone who gave me passenger rides, was great to feel what these cars can do driven close or beyond the limits so thanks to Mike and the two guys with the white GT3's.
For those who are unsure I was the chap with the yellow 911 C2S with aerokit parked up, was a great day and well worth getting up at 5am and very impressed with how my car goes on the way up there.
The guys with the MK2 red Golf GTI were great as well and what a car it was.
