Anyone else had their 24k service on 996tt yet?

I get 10% discount from my local OPC servicing for being a member of Porsche Club GB. Very handy with a £1,000 bill or the £1,700 for brakes on all four corners that will probably be required after Brunters. Maybe worth considering as in your case it would have saved you £160. Not bad for £50 a year membership which includes the monthly magazine.

Did a fair bit of checking around different OPC's as the initial price was over £900 squid, ended up paying £653 including brake fluid change, vat & all the other two year stuff, but without brake pads etc so don't know how that compares with your price Rich. I still ended up spending nearly as much as you though as I added another years warranty...just in case !!!
Personally I would steer clear of a main stealer and go to a decent indi.
I had a 48K service carried out on my 993TT and six months later realised they had 'forgotten' to change the gearbox oil. They had also failed to fit the belts properly, oh, and the alternator, better not mention incorrectly diagnosing (guessing) an oil leak and then over filling (by 2 litres) with oil.
Result: £250 back as a goodwill gesture.
I guess you can't blame porsche though as we had our vivaro van serviced at a vauxhall dealer last year (18K service) and they never fitted a new air filter. When I queried this they said it's not due one until 36K. Cut a long story short, at 33K miles the van is as slow as a slug so i checked the filter and it turns out that it should have been replaced but they had none in stock and told me a little lie.
I hit the roof and they are now servicing it for free (hopefully it'll be a better job than when i paid for it!).
I would rather do all the servicing work myself so I at least know it's done properly.
