I'm using the same mobil one too, and get on average about 1,200 miles per litre - the manual does say expect anything up to 1.5 Litres per 1000km and that equates to approximately 1 litre every 415 miles, so as long as you are using less than that I wouldn't worry too much

Mine doesn't use hardly any at all, but as Charlie says some Porkers can use a lot without any ill effect, it seems to be down to how they were run in originally !
I do get the occasional cloud of oil smoke on start up......OPC response.......not a problem they all do that !

CHARLIE,if you re-visit this post & as an aside how are you getting on with the TT compared to the 360, I'm getting itchy feet !

hehe - difficult one, subjectively the porker is the better, quicker, cheaper car but my heart still hankers after the 360! I was fortunate enough to get a ride in Kevin's Stradale this weekend and it has awoken that Ferrari thing in me again, however it wasn't as quick as the 996! For me for now I'll keep the porker as I'm in the process of moving to Richmond where garages are more expensive than the cars in them so it's going to live in the street for now and I wouldn't be happy to do that with a 360CS - but yes I'd love to go back to Ferrari land sooner rather than later! Go drive one back to back with your porker and see what you think is the best advice I could offer - oh and if you keep the proker isn't it time to start fettling it up a bit!!

Cheers for the reply Charlie, I suppose you are right I should get a test drive in a 360. The trouble is I have spent all these years getting to know all about Pork & haven't got a clue about the F thing, but short of loosing my shirt on a Lambo or going GT with a DB9, a nice second hand 360 looks the best bet & they do look great on the road.
With regards to modifying the TT, I've put an exhaust with racing cats on (+ 25 horses!!) but beyond that I worry about new gear boxes & engines going bang.
But hey I bet yours flies, where are you on the horses front these days ?
