Hayward & Scott Exhaust Bypass for Boxster S - Fitted

I've seen this topic pop up a few times on the forum, so thought I'd post this for a bit of info for everyone.
I took the Boxster down to H&S this weekend to have the exhaust bypass mod fitted. Got there nice and early, was met by the guys who got me straight in and got started immediately.
I went to a local cafe with my Kindle for a full English, couple of cups of tea and to read my new book, 2 hours later the job is done and the cars ready.
Apart from the good service and very reasonable price, the sound is excellent, it brought an immediate child-like smile to my face and made the car sound as I always envisaged it should have. Apologies to purists.
Some people have previously asked about motorway drone and noise levels at steady state, I can report that my fit didn't suffer from this at all. It is obviously louder, but not uncomfortable and with the radio on was unoticeable.
I have found my fuel consumption is worse since the fit, but only because I leave it in a lower gear to make more noise.... I will grow out of this very soon I hope. Apologies neighbours.
Of course the performance is much better as well.... (kidding)

Mine was £360 and to me it sounds identical to the PSE.
I considered Dansk replacement rear silencers (cans ?) as this was reversible if I didn't like the noise. My Indy told me they were the most popular and closest to the PSE which was the sound I was after.
The Dansk would have been £500 for the parts so I assume another £100 to fit them
I figured that as my exhaust is 10 years old, it made sense to take the risk. The boys at H&S are real engineers, sadly a dying breed in this country but are real down to earth blokes.
Ian (the manager) talks you through the options before he does it, and you can choose 3 I think. I went for the most popular (1.75 inch) pipe and am delighted with it.
It gives a satisfying bark on start up but isn't overly loud. Effectively your throttle is your volume control so you can pootle around town with no more than a grumble, or you can make it roar on acceleration. At cruising speeds its as it was before modified so no booming at 70 which was my biggest fear.
I'm delighted with it, its the best addition to the car as when standard, in my opinion they are too quiet.

Same garage a few week ago and same great service. Had them do a 1.5 inch bypass on my 997 C4S and I love the sound, although it does drone a bit around the 80mph mark. I can live with it on my own, but it drives the missus crazy !
Overall though it just makes the whole experience more alive, and the smile factor when blipping the throttle on the downshift is utterly addictive !
