Living in central London getting involved in the 'two buckets' method of car cleaning is not really practical at all.

I can leave it dirty, that's fine but it will need cleaning eventually.

It's been detailed and valeted so that's fine too for long term care.

The roadside chaps are a no no..Aren't they?

So what does that leave? Get it detailed once a month!

Just book a maintenance clean, not a detail.

Maintenance clean

tbh 2 buckets really shouldn't be much of an issue. If that is I guess a snow foam lance and good foam is also going to be out of the question.

Another alternative is the car wash Gurch has setup near Park Lane. I've been there, visit that !

If you dont know who Gurch is Google elite detailer

Make sure you phone the bank before you go near elite car wash.

Just had mine done by allthatgleams - Tom is great and offers a range of solutions.

If parking on the road then don't worry, the next day there will be bird crap, bumper scrapes, people leaning on it scratches etc..

I get that quote from his website but what's with the Park Lane bit? His inhouse place is up in the Midlands, no?

It'll be 'Bob a Job' week soon.

Some kindly Scouts will come and do it with a grit infested sponge for you.

You're able to walk from your house to where your car is parked right? What's so difficult about doing that with a bucket in each hand? Where there's a will....

Of course, if you're looking for reasons not to do it yourself, you will probably find many.

Ok. I've just looked at your profile and I'm even more amazed you are asking this question!

I would dig a well in the pavement, with a blunt spoon and my teeth, to wash that car.

If that failed, I would quite possibly lick it clean.

I'm busy and live in a city centre, so hire a mobile valeter. It was hard finding a good one but now I have, the £20 (wash) £50 (wash and wax etc.) is worth it....it saves me time, and they do a phenominal job. More than the going rate, but they do a better job than the average valeters.

Seems silly to have a nice car and not look after it.

You look like you're possibly W1/ W2 area by profile pic. I've used http://www.foryourcarsonly.co.uk/locations.php in W2 before and been surprised by quality. I wouldn't use them every week though, more of an 'emergency' 'no time' kind of thing but that's my OCD kicking in.
