Seat Belts - 996 - Want to go red

Thinking of swapping out my standard black belts for the red ones. How easy is the swap and who should I purchase the new belts from? Any advice appreciated

I went from red to black in my gt3. Why pay double the price for a fancy colour was my take on that?

Send yours to them to get new coloured belts.

I'm thinking of doing the same, the red ones pick up dirt really easily. I've tried to clean them etc but they never look 'fresh'...

The belts were grimy after eleven years use and didn't feel as taut as they could be. Red ones from Porsche were over £450, I think, while the black ones were about £200.

just to add in with dull tech info....
belts for the 996 split into 2001 and older and 2002 onwards. they cant be interchanged (due to presence of seatbelt pretensioning from 2002 on)

Cars with coloured seat belts are in the region of 5%-8% faster to 60mph than cars with black ones.

Surely, Black ones pick up just as much dirt, it's just you can't see it.

Get cleaning them with panel wipe, will soon get rid of the stains and leave it looking fresh.

Just dont be smoking around that stuff! It's super flammable but evaporates quickly.

Tried wipes, interior fabric foam, specialist shampoo, nothing really gets out the engrained dirt. They're cleaner and smell fresh but not back to how I'd like them. Would rather hide the dirt with black ones.

I would pay it if my option fit red belts need replacing.

Mine is arctic silber. I feel the red belts work well, especially given the big red calipers behind black gloss Mk2's - in harmony with the black leather Recaros.

What colour is your car?
