New Toy Just Arrived!
Discussion
A few weeks back I asked whether I should keep my existing 993 or swap for a mint example. Most people advised to stick with my car....but I couldn't resist this one. Just picked it up from a local Porsche dealer yesterday. Has only done 38'000 km and looks and feels much like new. My existing 993 was mechanically sound but has 135'000 km on the clock and obviously not quite as fresh. Hopefully the new one is a keeper, although I don't have a very good record! Of course, until I find a new owner I now have two 993s!

Nice looking car. I notice that like my (new to me) 993, the headlights have a yellowish tinge. Is that how they are supposed to be?

I think the lighting/coloring of the photo is not great so yellow color is exaggerated, although in certain lights/angles I think the headlamps can look a bit yellowy. Have you had your 993 long and are you happy with it?Bert

it's easy enough to pop out the headlight, unclip the lens and give the reflector a wipe. You can also replace the lens for a really new look.Bert

Not had it for very long. Took it down through Europe the day after I got it. To Nurg and Spa (for the 6 hour race). Did my first lasp of the Ring in it - rather good. It's been back to the dealer to have some snagging done so I've been without it for a few weeks. Should get it back next weekend. It's going to be my everyday car for a while. I wouldn't say I've got used to it yet, but I love it so far.
