Just realised what gvfm this example of the 7GT2 looks
It wasn't long ago people were banging on about the 997 GT2 being overpriced at mid-eighties to 90£k, and the price they should/need-to be is 70something.
So whats today's excuse?

I have been looking to buy it
only 62 or 64 made
very rare car which we all know goes silly later once people realise.
the fastest thing on the earth lol, just call up GT2 on you tube and see what the mags put them up with, the GT2 always wins.
140k new
75k now makes GT3 price's seem daft hence why I noticed it.
997.1 new GT3 price 71k and you can still pay 68k !!!!! not good value on a 5 yar old car
Gt2 seems to be a bargin at 1/2 price surly it's just a GT3 with a turbo :-) even the GT3 owners fit the GT2 ARB now.
sounds perfect, a GT3 with 525BHp at least it will be quicker than what I have now unlike the GT3 which is a bit slow :-p
very very tempted

I like 7 GT2s, more than 6 GT2s.
Seat debate aside (it's coming up in practically every thread on here now) I think thats great value.
Havent driven one before, appreciate they're rare. Would imagine they are very good to drive, although probably don't sound that great compared to a GT3.

I'd suggest that your rationale may be flawed. Massively quick in a straight line, but ultimately lacking the tactility of its normally aspirated brother. Chris Harris thought it failed to deliver around the twisties. Epic ownership kudos if that's what floats your boat mind. Thats been up since June and goodness knows how long at christopher neil since then.
I assume christopher neil became christopher jackson? I can't say that really inspires buying confidence.
Although apart from the hideous wheels I rather like it. Quite happy with the seats too!
They are completely different dealers, about 12-15 miles apart. It was at C Neil first, now at C Jackson. OPC Wilmslow previously had a very similar looking (white with side decals) non-C16 car on SOR but I'm told this is a different one.I assume christopher neil became christopher jackson? They are very enjoyable to drive, although I've never pushed a GT2 or GT3 to the limits as I wouldn't try to do this on the road, so I'm not sure how compromised it is handling-wise compared to the GT3. I think, as with the 996GT2, it should be treated as a RWD Turbo turned up to 11, rather than a GT3 with a blower.

Chris Harris later totally changed his mind IIRC after he took one on an extended European trip (I think it was that ring trip he did for Driver's Republic)Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
