My brother just referred me to the Monks Heath Motors site to look at something and I spotted this which I thought you chaps would like, I've not noticed it being mentioned on here:

http://www.monksheathprestige.com/usedcar/Porsche-...

On just 11k miles would you dare drive it? Oh, and it's a Tip!

Like the low mile 996 C4S mentioned a few days ago you'd have to be nuts to buy this in that spec.

It might have low miles but it's not a desirable spec (if it was manual with black leather it would be better) and using it will just make its value plummet!

It wouldn't be a good investment of £50k(I'd go for a 993 turbo, 996 GT3 RS at a push or save a little and get a 930) just to look at.

tip box, no air con, 16" wheels and flag mirrors. Seriously over priced IMO.

I don't think the AC, alloys and mirrors matter much at this level (would on a £15k car though) and as a piece of history maybe the Tip box isn't so bad?

Besides the leap to ABS and PAS the 964 also brought the major developments of a 4WD option and an automatic gearbox option (but not both), so there is significance to this car having one of those.

I have to confess that i dont like their comment at the end. Stick to the facts IMO.

Remembering the ~30k mile manual Guards C2 that sold for just 19,995 very recently puts this car sharply into focus ... i.e. way way overpriced, by at least 20k.

There again, there is always that boggo stodgy widebody with a 3.8 ... Yours for 120k or whatever it was.

Totally agree. It's a very condescending ad that effectively sticks two fingers up at any 964 owner. Very poor form IMO.

"you know these cars were renowned for their beautiful build quality and the fact that the car would of originally been painted in oil based paints,"

Would have originally been painted.

Sorry but for 50k asking price, I couldn't resist.

£50k eh? Good luck to them I suppose.

They will be hoping for a collector from China I guess.
