brake pad warning light cayenne turbo
Discussion
HI all,
Just interested in thoughts on longevity of pads. I had the front discs and pads changed in feb this year (7000 miles ago). Nothing was flagged up for the rears at this stage.
Im not noticing any discernable loss in braking force but the pad warning light has come on. I know it would have been gradual but just wondered if its possible the fronts have worn that much or if just the rears (or maybe the sensor)
Cheers,
Craig

Could be a faulty sensor, it has been known.
Or if the discs have lips on them, then it's possible the lips have cut through the sensor at the top of the pad.
7k miles on pads shouldn't have worn them out.
James
Edit ; new discs 7k miles ago rules out the disc cutting into sensor, must rear posts more!
