997 3.6 oil pipe leak

I was getting a few exhaust nuts tightened the other day when i noticed a little black pipe about 3 inchs in length coming from the passenger side of the engine with 2 circlips holding it in place weeping what looked like engine oil.
It seems to be exiting the engine at the very bottom of the block toward the back end of the car.
I should have taken a picture when i was under the car lift at the exhaust place but does anyone know the part in question as i cant seem to locate it on the parts diagrams.
