385 glorious miles yesterday in my 996tt yesterday......mainly on an empty A9 but also some great side roads, great scenery, NO TRAFFIC smile

Started off gleaming....but not anymore....but well worth it. Car performed beautifully (only had to stop for fuel......and still managed 24.8mpg despite some spirited driving!)

Just love empty Scottish roads....got to be amongst the best in the country driving

I think there should be a 'drivers only' day introduced whereby only those people who enjoy driving for the thrill it can provide are permitted to use the roads. At least then if and when you did come across another car it hopefully would either not hold you up or let you past without flashing the lights and blasting the horn.

I went out early yesterday, swore a lot, turned round and came home.
More traffic than a sunny August Bank Holiday, on roads that are usually pretty quiet at 10am on a Sunday.
The Beige Brigade in their horrible Hondas, lights flashing as you passed them. Old people don't do themselves any favours the way some of them behave. And lots of white vans delivering more bargain price tat from the internet.
Doesn't anyone stay inside any more and watch the telly?

...got say I don't understand why they have to flash one when one passes a tadge energetically as long as it is perfectly safe place to pass.

I don't flash them to pass, if I am held up I just keep my right indicator flashing (only on dual carriageways or motorways) and wait patiently for their small PC brains to engage until they feel comfortable with it all....and when I do pass it's a very quick pass, down a cog and foot planted....I think that's what they don't like.....a safe pass but in a car that has very good acceleration and a rather fruity exhaust note.....they would never understand the joys of driving such a car in a million years.

Sad....and I am certainly not a youngster myself.

Should there not be two speed limits?

One for 'normal' cars, and one for those of us that when you see this sign get shivers of excitement as we can go considerably quicker...

Yep I used my Bank Holiday yesterday in the only way you should, blatting through the Kent Countryside with some like minded friends!! The turbo performed excellently as always and never failed to impress me. Bring on the bank holiday next week lol.
