Afternoon hope we all enjoyed xmas!
Just got my renewal quote and it has nearly ruined mine lol!
paid around 1200 last year to insure my C2 996, i did have a claim last year which was my fault however my no claims were protected so thought ok i would suspect a may go up a little based on last year and the general news around insurance being a little more expensive at the moment.
However i am absolutely gobsmacked it has gone up to 3700!!!!!!!!!! WTF!
Anyway good news is I have gone online done a quick quote with elephant as i have found them good for the younger drivers and they are coming out at 1300 ish thankfully....
Can anyone else recommend good insurers for the younger Porsche drivers on here other then Elephant and Bell as save to say i will not be renewing with Adrian Flux!

I guess it depends how young you mean.... When I was younger I always found privilege was good value.

I also tend to bump up my voluntary excess to around £750 or so, on the basis that I wouldn't really bother claiming unless it was a meaningful amount.

I am 27 so not too young but young enough to still be getting some ridiculous quotes!

I think the problem is with protected no claims that people misunderstand it, it does not mean your premium will not go up, what it means is they will work out your premium including putting it up due to your accident and then give you your protected no claims discount, ie, last year premium 2000, less 50% ncb = 1000, this year premium 5000 less 50% ncb = 2500, you will never win! Good advice from above post though about increasing your voluntary excess. Good luck.

Adrain flux are chancers... Been with them for years on my Escort & Sapphire Cosworths, each year they try to bump the renewal! Just ring them with a better quote & generally they will match it, but out of principle I am leaving this year due to a pisstake quote of £940 fc after another claim free year, after last years was £690!!

Try Paul @ need2insure, managed to get both my Cosworths insured for less than Fluxs renewal for the Escort! Funnily enough when I rang up flux they couldn't get near it, when I asked for my DD to be cancelled & my NCB to be forwarded they could match the prices... Shame, one of the few good specialist insurers out there but their way of treating loyal customers is dispicable!
