Can't say how safe they are but I always park in ones where I keep the keys. Both shown here http://www.airparks.co.uk/heathrow-parking.html

'Safe parking' and 'Heathrow' are not often used in the same sentence hehe

Leave it at my house and I'll take really good care of it wink

Used Heathrow's own Long Stay carparks many times between 2010-2011 without any problems or knocks, but we know just how random these things are. Wrong place at the wrong time etc..

I use Biz parking for the relevant Terminal, park towards the back (ignore the guide signs) & you'll be fine. There is often some exotic machinery when I'm there. Astons, Porsches etc.

Is the trip imminent or do you have a few weeks yet?

The "official" short stay parking area at Gatwick is excellent, costs about £80 a week.

Is the Heathrow equivalent pants ?

Which terminal? If T5 the business car park that links to the terminal via driverless monorail pods is v convenient and seems fine.

Booked it just before Xmas & got there & was redirected to short stay at the same price as it was full! Wanted to ride in the pods mad

Use the official kerb side drop and fly service. I have used it for my Aston and various Porsche's over the last years and never had an issue. On arrival you will see that many people park high value cars with them - so no problem.

If it's T5 book the short-stay in advance and you get parking nearly as cheap as long stay and the new carparks at T5 have large parking spaces.
