Would value input as to what you all think will happen to GT3RS prices

I feel they will drop 5% each year then a big drop say 25% when 991 RS hits, then again might be worth more as the price hike is expected to be large? Then after 10 years I can see it climbing as the last true manual RS car !!

Firstly, the 4.0RS is the last manual RS car. Heres my guess FWIW on the Gen 2 3.8 GT3RS;In 1-2 years

seems to me like more than 123....... just for the 997 mk 2 RS alone..
but hey, it's only the DVLA database..........

The thing is there are so many GT3's and with new ones coming out this just drives prices down.
The 997.1 has had a great run for owners who have had then 3 years, but imo times/prices are about to fall in line now the 997.2 is available 2nd hand
and it will not be long before these are at 70k.
They used to be rare and hard to get now there are 60 odd cars for sale.
IF you look at that lot you have to have a price inbetween them all. The plus side is the 996GT3 will hold prices up while the 997.2 will close them all up a bit.
So they will all hit a level.

2009 GT3 997.2
2010 GT3 997.2 RS
2011 GT3 RS 4.0
2013 GT3 991
lets have a go at Autum 2012 prices :-) on ave these are private sales with ok miles. OPC more money or super low miles , high miles less money.
1999 GT3 996.1 £30k
2003/05 GT3 996.2 £35k a great buy imo now just don't over pay for one.
2005 GT3 996.2 RS £57k seems these are the ones to keep
2006/08 GT3 997.1 £50k but need to be ok miles for 50k
2007 GT3 997.1 RS £65k same as above very milage sensitive
2009 GT3 997.2 £70k Think I want one of these :-)
2010 GT3 997.2 RS £95k no idea but will take the biggest hit in 2013 on 991 launch.
2011 GT3 RS 4.0 £150k to 200k who knows none are trading 2nd hand yet.
2013 GT3 991 people start to get excited as it draws closer and specs released.
Any way was just for fun, now I need to do some work

some nice ones sold at 911v for 37 to 38k last year.
Yeah I saw those, they looked great value. I was quite tempted, but decided to go for the much cheaper 996 C2 option instead. But might look at these again in the next year or two if prices continue to fall, but it's hard to imagine a good one dropping to say £30K, but £35K could be realistic in this climate. mnk303 said:

I reckon that they will hold on to mid 90s until the end of the track day season and be in the 85-90 range in the depths of next winter. 65-70 in 5 years, much the same in 10. I don't see the 991RS as a huge price threat as I reckon that it will be a £130k car once specced and the only people getting one will be a subset of those that have a letter of intent already lodged at their OPCs today. An equally pertinent question would be how much you will be paying for tyres in 5-10 years if indeed you can get them at all. As it is only the Michelin Cup is available, costs £500 each for rears and fits nothing except the Gen2 RS and GT2. The next RS will almost certainly run on 20" rims so I doubt that alternatives are on the way either. Or are owners planning to simply step down to 305s?

If there are only 35 C16 cars then my estimates will probably be too negative.
Mind you, there seems to be a fair few for sale. 5 on PH alone.

If there are really only 35 3.8s then it will go the same way as the 996 RS - down then up and then stabilize - because it is so incredible to drive.Mind you, there seems to be a fair few for sale. 5 on PH alone.

Edited to say once it is down the 3.8 could well be the bargain of 2012.

£20k difference between 9.1 & 7.2 and £15k difference on Standard & RS. That sort of makes sense. 1999 GT3 996.1 £30k

The larger difference between the standard 6GT3 & RS is due to smaller numbers & myth

I expect a lot of 4.0 RS's will be garage queens.
