on 17"'s they are delicious on a 993 !

that said, i use Contisports and they are fine, no complaints

I did have a brief excursion into Falken F452 which are a great tyre at very low cost but for some reason the rear 265 was really stretched across the rim and they made the car wander from lane 1 to lane 3 of the Mway when you so much as sneezed. Dangerous stuff and thank the Lord for ebay where they were quickly disposed of.

I recomend camskill and mytyres.co.uk as suppliers

Thats wierd... I use the 452 on my 968 as the road/wet track tyre and its a 255 rear, Ive never had any issues with them. The S02's I had on the other hand were cack.. I hated everything about the way the 68 moved on them...
I was looking at a new set of rubber for the 993 in a few weeks so i'll be keeping an eye on this thread and the price of Michelins...

I had 458s on my 968 too... worked a treat but not so on the 993

Maybe its a case of going for a 285 on a 18" rim ?

I don't think i'll be taking the risk to find out.

Pirelli Rosso Corsa on my C2S which I am very happy with. They were original equipment on the car.

They are not cheap though, just replaced to rears at £550 for the pair.

That doesn't sound right - doesn't the car pre-date those tyre being launched (so how can they have been OE)? confused

Also, a track-focused tyre like a Corsa doesn't really suit what the OP's looking for. smile

My apologies, my above remark was misleading and inaccurate, what I meant to say was that the car was delivered with Pirelli tyres, not necessarily Corsas. (according to the OPC that looks after my car)
