Porsche Brakes Rusting
Discussion
Apologies in advance for the newbie type question but after doing a few searches wanted to get the opinion from the people in the know...
recently i have noticed that the brake rotors on my cayman s are pretty brown in colour (i.e. rusted/rusting), i also know that a spirited drive and some hard braking can remove most of this but dont see the point as overnight they just rust again. I should state that the car is parked outside and with the wet weather we have recently i am not sure of how to keep the rust removed, just concerned as i have a service due soonand sont want to be stuck with a bill for new brakes as the brakes seem to function effectively

Err, don't spray them with oil! General use as others have said, nothing at all to worry about.
Really? No oil? DON'T SQUIRT YOUR DISCS WITH OIL!
