Buyers and sellers beware the trade price for a 2007 57 plate 997 turbo with 15,000 miles with all the extras is only worth £45,000 and that was last month! I paid over £65,000 last July from a OPC. It's also the worst car I've ever owned nothing but problems. I only did about 2500 miles in my ownership and it's depreciated that much. Truly shocking!

Blame yourself for going to an OPC to buy a car!

One more thing problems can be fixed, you just have to goto the right people.

Here we go again. You buy an expensive, high performance car in the middle of one of the worst recessions this country has known and then start moaning when it depreciates. What did you expect? Either get rid or forget about it and start enjoying it.

I lost almost £20k in roughly the same period on my turbo s but did almost 10k miles saying that the dealer made the best offer compared to some of the independent dealers on here.

£55k will buy you a similar car today from an OPC. £10k for prep (turbo not a cheap car), 2yr warranty, VAT etc etc is probably not far off fair. Your problem is offloading the car too soon. Keep it 2-3 years and it will balance quite nicely for a £100k+ supercar

10k prep.

The great thing is if it's perfect they simply add that 10k to the offer because there's nothing to do.

Oh hang on no it's the sell end they add the 10k on, what was I thinking?

My last 996 cab cost the owner 90k and he sold it to me for 19k thats around 71k less than he gave after 8 years this is about 9k a year down, but he did not worry about loss and this was less than his annual bonus, it's a numbers game which we cant win so enjoy
