Having bought my GTS in March of last year, I'm now starting to consider its value.

I reckon given the driving experience, rarity, some unique features and the introduction of the new but "digital" 991 that it has now increased in value yikes I reckon I'm now sitting on an extra £10k.

Given the current conditions and credit availability by the time I come to sell, I reckon I could do a straight P/x on a Lamborghini Aventador. I know this might come as a shock to some of you but the GTS really is that good.

My only concern is mileage, if I continue to lock it up in the garage and never use it, I won't be sure that it still works, so the engine might seize but on the plus side at least if it does, I can post about the first gen2 engine failure! Awesome!

haha good thread J-P

Funny you should ask though. I had the same conversation with numerous OPC's only recently. It is of the opinion - the faster, better, more sought-after PDK cars will retain their value quite steadily from now on.

Unfortunately. For owners of the more 'common', queer looking, manual cars in white,, values are nose-diving every day. On the plus side, they will still be very popular amongst middle-aged house-wife's and ghey-boys, trading up from their Suzuki Swifts, wanting something of the same kind of power, slightly better badge image, but still retaining that camp image.

Cars with the full fake suede Alcantarta interior and dodgy leave me stranded at the side of the road everytime i get a puncture Centre-Locks wheels will be worst hit still

Hope that helps

If only you'd gone for the "clubsport" alcantara and plastic finish on the seats and dash that many wisely chose and you could stick another £5k on that value, J-P

Hi J-P. How's that alcantara steering wheel wearing? I was looking at a GTS this weekend which had one. It looked fantastic but I was worried my sweaty hands would ruin it in weeks!

J-P, you need to organise a 'plastic seated GTS only' meet, sometime.

Just so you can all compare value increases.

It's fine mate - just needs to be cleaned with a damp cloth every so often but mine still looks new after 8,500 miles yikes

What a great idea!!! Maybe we could bring our wives along and get them to drive along sedately and get some gratuitous ass shots?

You'll have to limit it to white GTS's only then.

Is this thread serious???

I can't believe what you are saying is right!

It is obviously the red manual cars with alcantara that are the fastest appreciating cars out there.

hehe

Oops, almost missed the video of the wife with a manual 911...

bks, with all of these other meets being organised, I'm going to struggle to find a free weekend for the '997.1 C2S Meteor Grey with Standard Wheels and Sports Seats' meet I was hoping to arrange at Brands in the summer frown

Mr Tickle - White reflects all colours, so when considering the appreciation curve, you should note that white cars actually reflect the appreciation of all the other colours. So the good news is that you've made a lot of money on your sound financial purchase thumbup . The bad news is that it's not as much as you could have made if you'd bought a white car - sad but true yes

Don't know who that lady is mate but she's nothing to do with me - my Mrs is way hotter than that! wink

My missus is so hot it's out of consideration for you guys that I've refrained from posting the video of her performing an intimate procedure on me while I execute a perfect heel and toe downshift on that tricky left hander at Oulton.
