Berkshire Porsche service specialist / extended warranty

Hi

I have a 2008 997 which is coming to the end of its two year Porsche warranty.

Having just paid an eyewatering bill at the OPC for some routine stuff, I was seeking some advice -

Is it possible to extend the warranty using a scheme other than the official Porsche scheme?

And is possible to get service and repair done at a non-OPC specialist which reduces cost and keeps me within the terms of the warranty?

Any advice greatly appreciated
