997 Gen2 prices going up?

I'm looking for a gen 2 997 C2 - been tracking prices for a couple of months and I was expecting to see prices drop a bit over Dec/Jan. My friendly local OPC salesman told me today that they are looking at re-pricing their stock after I mentioned that I thought some of their group's used cars were too expensive. He clarified that they were probably going to increase prices. I assumed this was a cheap sales tactic. However, I have seen the price of an Aqua Blue C2 at OPC Cardiff (not my local OPC) increase today by £3k - and it has been for sale for weeks.
So what is really going on?

Last year in glass guide cars went up in feb.
Maybe it,s going to be the same this year.
I note the cheapest Audi TTRS in Audi,s stock seems higer than normal.
Maybe stocks selling and there is a shortage of 997.2 cars atm due to the big drops the last 6 months.

Sorry, I missed the earlier thread...found it now. "Firming" prices does seem to be a common OPC theme. Supply is certainly lower for post-GFC cars (58 plate onwards), but I'm not seeing many of these used cars selling now. Actually this is a query about current prices, not long term depreciation (which BTW, i agree is inevitable on most Porsches and pointless discussing). Definitely, I know my uncle just got 10k off the 50k asking price on low milage used Maserati Grantourismo, amazing deal. The seller said after he was totally unable to shift it even though he had listed it for a decent price for the milage compared to what dealers were asking.

moral of story - everyone is concerned about making a smart investment and buying at the right time. Not for profit but to ensure that you are getting a good deal and able to continue the fun in the years ahead as you trade up and up. Seems eminently sensible to have people discuss prices.
more seriously - what is happening with the track days filling up and so many cars on the roads - i though high oil prices were going to kill that growth off. Damn eco cars and their 70mpg :-)
