Does anyone have any reliable info re when they'll be announced and when the first UK ones will subsequently be built for?

Porsche seem to have been pretty quick off the mark with the cabriolet but I guess that's to be able to deliver them for the Summer.

After the new Boxster launch took most people by suprise, it proves that nobody seems to know for sure apart from Porsche themselves :P

997 4WD release was 18months-24months from launch of the 2WD models.

According to Evo Mag, the schedule is:

2012 (Spring): Cab
2012 (Autumn): Carrera 4 & 4S
2013: Turbo & GT3
2014: GT2

They seem to be pretty well organised and planned for the roll-out.

Cab for Spring/Summer and then the 4wd option for the colder months.

That's works for a NAm or Euro-centric view, but I guess the global nature of the business and the processes involved to put another variant into production, would show this timing to be coincidental?

Many thanks. Useful to know, assuming their info is robust. Based on the cab timing that means they'll be announcing them about 6 months from now I guess.

I have heard Autumn from the dealerships for c4/c4s too.
